BioMin Restore Plus is the first bio-glass toothpaste with fluoride to get FDA approved to alleviate sensitive teeth. The unique formulation contains BioMin F, a patented non-irritating ingredient combination of calcium, phosphate, silica, and fluoride.

When BioMin F comes into contact with saliva, it creates a chemical that is structurally similar to tooth mineral. It then attaches and seals porous tooth structure, thereby reducing tooth sensitivity and making the tooth more resistant to damage.

Why does BioMin Restore Plus use less fluoride?

Traditional Fluoride toothpastes in USA normally contain 1100 ppm of soluble Fluoride (typically Sodium Fluoride or Sodium Monofluorophosphate) and have been shown to reduce the risk of cavities.

The concentration of soluble Fluoride reduces rapidly through salivary dilution. Typically the concentration halves after every minute so that after around 90 minutes it is unlikely for any therapeutic level of Fluoride to be present.

In contrast, Dr Collins BioMin Restore Plus is able to supply a low level of Fluoride for up to 12 hours after brushing. The slow and controlled supply of Fluoride is a far more efficient delivery of Fluoride. For this reason the level of Fluoride content in Dr Collins BioMin Restore Plus does is controlled at 530ppm.
